"Fabian of NOVA home improvements was on time, on budget, friendly and made sure everything was satisfactory before leaving the job. He worked quickly and efficiently getting the job done a day early. I would recommend him and have already handed out his business card to other people who are looking to have their bathrooms renovated or repaired."

"From start to finish, working with David and the rest of the Beristain Contracting team was a pleasure. Upon the initial call, David was able to promptly assess the project and revert with a very reasonable quote and contract within a day or so (much quicker than other competitors). Then, when he began his work, we couldn t have been happier with his thorough work he provided. He pointed out water damage, went above and beyond to remove our cabinet to get behind our fridge with the tile, and repaired two doors in our condo in addition to the two projects he completed. We love the look of our kitchen backsplash and front door tiling and will be hiring Beristain Contracting again in the future for more of our contracting needs. Thanks David!"

"We hired Armando and his men to paint the interior of our home. They were by far the most reasonable estimate, compared to four other local painters in Westchester with good reputations. He did an impeccable job on several rooms, including a wall and ceiling that had sustained water damage and needed substantial repair. At the end, it looked as good as new. A year later, when one of the bathroom ceilings he had painted started to peel, he redid it free of charge. Later, when he repainted the exterior of our house, he was also by far the most affordable of several estimates, and he did an extraordinary job on our shingled exterior. He is kind, responsive and talented."

"Elvis is a very skilled and reliable contractor- my project was done on a very tight schedule, 2 weeks total length in a nyc condo. The condo rules are strict so Elvis had to work fast and not lose any days. He executed flawlessly. He is very flexible , frequently updates client and does amazing job. He has insurance and very well familiar with projects in condos and city in general. I would love to do another project with him and recommend him to run full renovation projects because he can do everything and has multiple professionals working for him."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
