"Iâ ve had not so good experiences with contractors in the past. Angel with Alta gave me one of the best experiences I could have asked for. I needed a new wood fence installed to prevent my new dog from practicing her high jump skills. Angel listened to my needs and ideas and budget and helped come up with a great fence style. He was on time, communicative, professional, friendly, and he is a perfectionist and wants his work to shine. I will definitely will be using his services in the future and recommending him to my friends and family."

"I cannot say enough good things about D&D. We worked with Dylan Morrow, and from the moment we started the bid process to the completion of the project, Dylan, his entire crew and staff were kind, thoughtful, professional and generous. D&D transformed my 1940 kitchen and breakfast nook into a gorgeous open floor plan kitchen and butler's pantry that gives my house has a completely new look. The crew was detailed oriented, got permission for all adjustments and needs before proceeding, and even took time to get to know my family while they were here onsite. Communication was top notch throughout the entire process. I am very pleased to have worked with D&D and will definitely hire them again for future house renovations."

"K & L tile is the best choice for your tile project. Nick does the work himself and is truly professional. He covers all of the details with you from beginning to end. He installed each piece of tile correctly, by aligning & dry fitting it. He doesn t cut corners to save time, he does it right!!!! He successfully leveled out a tile floor on a 100 year old house. I highly recommend K&L and will use them again."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
