"My 1938 home (purchased in August 2022) was in need of serious repair, especially the brick exterior and chimney. Several other contractors gave estimates that seemed either clueless or predatory. Then came Ekraam - the master technician from Powers. He was kind enough to make the drive from up north to West Seattle on a Saturday when the bridge was still out! One look at my house and he said that any repair to the brick would be worthless in a couple of years. Better to remove it and replace it or put on siding instead. As for the chimney, he asked why I needed it since the house had no fireplace. Briefly stated, he could have sold me a job but instead he informed and counselled me on how to solve it. I ran out of time for repairs so the lovely and amazingly organized Connie - my contact at powers - arranged for Ekraam to remove the chimney on very short notice. "We are an HOA. I contacted them and received word back the same day. They came out right away and gave us a fair estimate and told us all the work that they would be doing in the quote. When it was time for them to do the work we agreed on a day and they came out that very next day as promised. They did an excellent job on our rain garden.
