"I was very pleased with the quality of the work performed. Jeff was right on top of everything he had his subcontractors do and made sure it met his (and my) expectations/requirements. Cost went about 5% over the original bid only because we chose some upgrades that exceeded the original design. Likewise the project took longer than originally anticipated, but we weren't in a hurry and it was no problem for us. In summary, I was completely satisfied and will use Affinity next year for some additional work we would like to have done around our house."

"Timely, Great communication. Expectations met. David & his partners were professional and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves. We had our garage drywall retaped, textured & painted. They power washed the garage floor. They painted our entire houseâ  s ceilings & walls. Exterior door trim was either installed where non existed or repaired/painted where it was weathered. We had carpet removed & new installed. We had new Luxury Vinyl Plank installed which for the basement required a leveling compound to cure uneven concrete floor. New base board was installed throughout. They were very accommodating working around our schedule and late flooring deliveries."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
