"Nick and Dennis were amazing. When our master bath shower cracked and flooded the adjacent room, I was at a loss where to start with repairs. Nick came highly recommended from a friend of a friend. He came over the same day I called for an estimate and guided me through the process of picking out new materials. The demo and sub-floor replacement went great but it was his tile work and excellent communication that was so impressive! I highly recommend Nick and his team to anyone looking to have tile work done."

Laminate Countertops - Repair, Laminate Countertops
"I was in a hurry to replace the kitchen counter top. Rick called right away, gave us a very reasonable quote, and offered a great suggestion on the pattern for the linoleum. He and his son installed the new counter top today, only two days after I posted on Home Advisor. AMAZING! The new kitchen counter is beautiful! I wish we had done it sooner. Five stars are not enough. They were prompt, friendly, professional, and tidy. Thank you, Kevin and Rick!"

"Rory, is a top notch, on time, detailed professional! He not only does painting, but does maintenance too. He's good at everything, wants the customer to be happy & I'm so glad I found him because he's a God send. He goes above & beyond what I ask. The choices to rate him are not enough, he does inside, outside, doors, fence, texture, kitchen, siding, you name it he'll paint it for you plus more! If you have painting projects or any project around the house, you've got to call this guy! I've worked with the trades for over 45 years & he's at the top of my list for everything!!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Kalama Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.6 out of 5 based on 213 reviews of 213 pros.
