"We reached out to Brian on a Sunday morning and he responded within 30 minutes. That initial encounter was representative of all of our dealings with him. He is responsive and professional. There was a slight delay with a supplier, the effects of which were communicated promptly and the schedule revised. Heâ s clean and tidy with his work and pays great attention to detail. In the course of the installation of our new sliding door, Brian discovered and resolved issues left behind by the previous owner. We are very pleased with the work done and will not hesitate to have Brian work his way through our list of repairs and future projects. For thumbs up from us!"

"As a Single female homeowner, unfortunately sometimes people feel they can take advantage. The first plumber I met with wanted to charge me $2200 and suggested much more work than was necessary, He even came out and said so! But Fil was honest, straightforward, quoted me a third of that price and got the job done in less than half the time he quoted me! He even came out on a Sunday and did not charge me anymore, because he said he knew how important it was for me to get this pipe fixed! He was clean, courteous, and ended up charging me even less since it took less than half the time quoted!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
