"Justin was incredible! He worked quickly, was knowledgeable, and the finished projects are beautiful. He also did a great job for a fair price, especially after I was quoted over 5x what he charged by multiple handyman companies. I am so lucky I found him and will be requesting his expertise with all of my future projects."

"I am very pleased with All Shades of Texas. They were very professional and the workmanship is great. I love my screened in patio! Being able to open the door and get fresh air on nice days without dealing with bugs is awesome. I am very happy and would highly recommend this company for anyone planning to add a screened in patio."

"Jonas Campos came out and worked with us on the purchase of our sun room and convinced us to move forward on replacing our windows as well. We had previously spoken with another company who attempted to overcharge a great deal (almost 3 times higher) than Champion. He was extremely competent and friendly. He took the time to walk us through the entire process and made us feel comfortable. Definitely worth taking a look at if you are debating home upgrade. Jonas is the man to go to."

"Ben is not only a very friendly handyman but very knowledgeable, he is quick and efficient and cleaned up afterwards! I have also hired Ben to do a few other jobs around the house! If you’re looking for a well rounded handyman Ben is definitely who you need. He communicated with me, explained what he was doing, made sure to answer any questions and i will be doing much more business with him in the future. I am new to the area and didn’t know where to start looking for a handyman and i am so grateful i found Ben he really does it all!!!"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
