"I hired a large company who hired ProServ as the contractor for the project. My contractor was incredible and efficient. Regretfully the company was not. Carlos, ProServ owner, made an incredibly awkward situation work out. I would give ProServ and especially Carlos rave reviews. The professionalism and honesty of the contractor and his crew is exemplary and quality of his work is exceptional."

"Mike was very committed to helping us in a time of need. He worked with the insurance in properly quoting the work to accomplish the work needing to be done from the fire. This was too much for us to deal with on our own. We do not wish to ever have a fire again, but if we ever need to hire AHW again for remodeling we definitely would. Hope all is well with all the AHW crew. Overall solid guys to work with. Srac Patel"

"We had several contractors give us estimates and Ani of LGC was the best. She was knowledgeable, professional and not pushy at all. My husband and I felt very comfortable with her and it didnâ t take us long to choose her. She helped with the design, locating materials and also helped us save money. The workers arrived on time, put in a full dayâ s work and did an amazing job for us. What started as a primary bathroom remodel turned into primary bedroom, bathroom and master closet redo, flooring to most of our house and two patio redos. We felt comfortable with the entire process from start to finish. Ani and her crew kept us informed and helped with giving us other options that we didnâ t even think of. In a few weeks they will put in a beam in our family room. Iâ m very excited. The entire crew were very professional, knowledgeable, neat and cleaned up afterwards. We will definitely use them again. We couldnâ t be more happier with the choice we made. It was the RIGHT one."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
