"Tony Gonzalez installed a new kitchen faucet, strainer, drain, water valves. He wonderfully reworked 60+ years of substandard DIY. He is punctual, friendly, professional and thorough. His work is clean, well thought out and executed. The bottom line is, he wants the work to be right and the customer to be happy. I highly recommend Tony for your plumbing needs."

"Mike and his crew, Tommy, Jeff and Brandon, have done deck updating, and 3 bathroom redos besides the kitchen redo. The house I purchased was dated 1948, that we started to call the Fun House, due to the strange things that were done to it over the years. Mike and his guys never batted an eye figuring out how to fix and make better. And they always discussed with me and explained what they wanted to do. I would definitely recommend them for any job you need to be done. Mike is honest enough to tell you if it can be done, and he always does the work as if it were his own house. And he is more than fair on this pricing."

"They presented a good and fair price for our bathroom remodel. The quality of the products was very good and the price was better than other firms. As with any remodel, there are always issues that come up along the way. They handled these issues with an eye to keep the customer happy. The work done on our project was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending them and would use them again."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
