"Greg was such a professional. He was one of the few contractors who asked any questions, which I liked. He was very responsive when I had some questions. I was a little concerned when his bid was the lowest (because I kept thinking you get what you pay for). I took and chance, and I could not be happier with the results. I had a new roof, soffits, facia, and downspouts. It looks fantastic. I highly recommend Upright Builders, LLC. I will sure use them again!"

"I had painting done in my home on 8-24-15 and 8-25-15. I had the entire interior painted using three different colors. I am generally extremely picky about the quality of work. The painters I had did an excellent job! Not only was their quality of work excellent but the people doing the work were thoughtful of my property, courteous and polite. Rafael also made sure that all of my needs were taken care of from start to finish. Overall, this has been an excellent example of the way home maintenance jobs should be."

"I was nervous when making a selection of who I should use to build my detached garage. After having 3 other companies come out to giving pricing I contacted Scott, Mark and the crew from Americas Best. I became fast friends with project manager Scott as he determined exactly what I wanted and gave feedback on things I had not even considered. He and Mark gave me onsite pricing I could not refuse and started the work soon after. The garage is everything I hoped for and more, when my neighbors ask who built it I’m proud to point them to Americas Best! I hope to have them build a deck for me before winter!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
