"My wife and I hired Mathew of MLS Architecture as the architect for an addition to our house, and we love the way it came out! Mathew was very professional and easy to work with, since he was very communicative, collaborative, and walked us through the entire process. It was fun going through the design process with him, and he gave some great recommendations to make what we had in our head even better. We leaned on his experience quite a bit throughout, and were glad to have him there throughout the construction process as well, as he knew how to get the best work out of the contractors. Having had bad experiences with contractors in the past, it was helpful having someone on our side that spoke their same language and held them to a higher quality standard. Would love to hire/ work with Mathew again if we have any work in the future."

"The true treasure of the experience was the carpenter, Balint, who was a very detail oriented craftsman. He worked long days, cleaned up space beautifully each day, communicated daily with us regarding the project. The electricians, Vince and Joe, were thorough and complete with all of their work. The project manager, Pete, stayed in touch regularly to complete the renovation on time."

"TNN managed our new construction and land development project from scratch. Tim caught MANY errors by the Engineer and Architect before they could become a problem. He made many great suggestions to elevate our original plans. Work quality is great and they take pride in everything they do. Nick did an amazing job on our trapezoid windows and carpentry work. We highly reccommed TNN and will continue to use them for the next phase of our project (garage) We would be happy to provide a reference and even show the work they completed for our project. "They were prompt polite and did a good job repairing my kitchen cupboards and molding that had water damage. After they said they were done I inspected the work and I had a few corrections I wanted. They made a special effort to make sure I was satisfied and made the "fixes" I had requested with no complaints."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
