"Greg was very good to work with. He contacted me almost immediately after my request went in and was very thorough in explaining how he could help with a terrible stain issue on an expensive couch and chair. I thought he could probably get some of it out, but doubted it could look like new. When he started he mentioned how bad it was, and even indicated it may have set in too much, as it had been a couple days. But he kept at it and after the cushions dried, they look completely new! Very professional, accommodating and nice to work with. Very pleased and would highly recommend Ripley."

"Saved Me from a Fire Hazard and a Big Electric Bill! I had no idea a dirty dryer vent could be such a danger. These folks explained everything kindly and made sure I understood what they were doing every step of the way. They showed me the lint build-up and even cleaned the vent exit on the outside wall — something I’d never think to check. My dryer doesn’t run all night anymore, and I noticed my electric bill dropped the next month. Friendly, clean, and trustworthy. I’d recommend them to my mama, and that’s sayin’ something."

"I have a vertical dryer vent duct that exits on a very steep roof and the screen was clogged. Lance got on the roof and cleaned it out in no time. It cost less than half of the other guy who wanted to disassemble the dryer duct from the attic to clean it out rather than get on the roof. So glad I went with Lance!"

"If you need a good plumber or HVAC tech I recommend Manny Alvarez of The #1 contractors. He works with his father and brother and they saved me a lot of money on my repair. Service Squad wanted $10,000 to replace my main water line, Plumb Shield wanted $6,995, and J5 wanted $4,600. Russel Plumbing said he would replace the line for $3,800 but he would charge me $150 for a written quote. Manny and his father came out and found the leak quickly using air pressure in the line, dug it up, repaired it, corrected the misaligned pipe and charged me $280! Thank you Manny and family!"

When you hire a housekeeper or cleaning service, there are some questions you’ll need to ask to ensure you’re hiring the right person for the job. Writing down a list of services you want to be completed is a great place to start. This way, you’ll have all the information you need when you do interview a housekeeper or cleaning service, and they can provide you with accurate information and cost estimates.
Find out upfront if the housekeeper or cleaning company offers the services you need, especially if you have requests that go beyond basic services.
Do they charge a flat fee each week? Do they charge an hourly rate? Some companies charge based on your home’s square footage or the number of bedrooms you have.
Many companies may provide some smaller cleaning supplies, but they may need to use your vacuum cleaner or mop. Others bring their own or none at all. And if you’re particular about the types of chemicals used in your home, you may want to ask what products they use or if they’re willing to use what you provide.
Anytime you have a professional in your home, something could go wrong. They could get hurt, or some of your property may be damaged. Ask what would happen in these scenarios — a well-qualified professional will have the necessary insurance and bonding to cover these situations.
