"Paul's team carried out a very large project for my home, including tear down of a double-wide, two story brick chimney; installation of Hardiepanel, new window, and trim on the exterior in the prior chimney location; drywall and floor tile installation inside where the chimney was removed; window replacement on the upper level and front lower level of the house; and vinyl siding, trim, and gutter replacement for the whole house. Paul and his team were always highly professional: timely, careful worksmanship; complete clean up each day; good communication about next steps; consultation with the homeowner where decisions on design needed to be made. There were a few small hiccups in this large project (fewer than I expected given the scope), and Paul was always reachable and immediately responsive to addressing the issues to my full satisfaction. He worked with the home schedule, including two dogs, around delivery of materials and the dumpster so that things were disrupted for the minimum time necessary to complete the job. He was very respectful of the challenges experienced by homeowners around such a large job and worked consistently to support steady progress on the work - material samples for the architectural committee, submission of a timely contract, sensitivity to preferences of neighbors, ongoing communication about weather and associated changes in the schedule and status of materials, etc. I would highly recommend his company."

"For anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their home: I moved into my house about two years ago and would get floods in my basement during every storm. I tried to fix it myself environmentally but failed in my attempts. I then decided to finally fix the problem and get my basement waterproofed. Being relatively new to Delaware, I put in a request to get free estimates. I had a few companies come out to look at it and narrowed my choices down. I was down to Basement Waterproofing Specialists (BWS) and Basement Gurus. The difference was the representative from Basement Gurus had a more natural approach and took the time to ask numerous questions, as the other representatives asked little to no questions. The Basement Gurus representative suggested to fix internally AND externally, plus they even added a lateral system in my basement. No other company felt to even thought of a lateral systems or external drainage, or to even ask about it. I could not speak more highly of the representative and his team at Basement Gurus, they took the time to explain every step and the process before and during the installation to keep me involved with what was going on. The crew was extremely polite and respectful of my house, they were very efficient and they *did not play games* for lack of a better word. lol The very next day we had heavy rains, which I was excited to test out my waterproofing system! During and after it rained there was not even a single drop of water in my basement or laundry room. The representative even had his team remove and replace all of the studs that had become moldy and also put in new mold-resistant drywall. "Fernando and his team were a pleasure to work with! We had 14 windows that needed to be installed, 4 custom panels built under the windows on the front of the house, and 8 dormers in our roof that we wanted to update per a custom design we had to replace the exisiting siding with Azek trim. Express Builders came out to take the necessary measurements and responded within 1 day to give us a quote with a very reasonable price. Throughout the time they were at our house, Fernando was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the materials and worked with us to make sure his team's work met the design we had provided. He worked closely with us to make sure the first dormer was right and then his team was able to replicate the same for the remaining 7 dormers. "Our home recently experienced roof damage from a wind and rain storm. The first company I contacted could not respond until the next day and fearing further damage, I contacted the next contractor on the list and I'm sure glad I did. I spoke to the owner of Country Wide Builders "Tommy" directly and after hearing my situation and desperation, responded within 1 1/2 hour placing a tarp over the damaged area while it was very windy and raining. While Tommy and John were here I ask for a quote for repairs, As it turned out we needed a complete roof replacement. My wife and I are recently retired and feared this would cost thousands of dollars we hadn't planned on spending at this time. Tommy gave us an extremely reasonable quote and had the job scheduled to be completed within a week. They helped me dealing with my insurance company taking some of the pressure off of us and walked us through the entire process keeping us abreast of every step. On the day of the repairs, the crew was here at 7am and worked diligently throughout the day completing the job around 4 pm. The crew took extra time to assure our yard and driveway was clean of debris especially nails and staples. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with the folks at Country Wide Builders.
