Since I will be having cement laid on that area, he offered instead of removing the entire stump to just chop the root down 3 inches below the surface and cover it with dirt, thereby saving me some money. I am having him back soon to take care of some large and very high up tree branches of my neighbors tree overhanging and constantly dropping leaves in my back yard.
