Solar
"I have been eager to go solar for years but always had an excuse not to. When Advantage Energy Solutions showed up at my door, they were probably the fourth outfit to try to convince me to pull the trigger. What made me do it with them rather than the other guys was simply how friendly and patient they were with my apprehension. Absolutely NO pressure, they just wanted me to know why I should at least consider the option. They explained all the costs, worked with me on financing and padded it with a rebate to make it so easy to say yes. I also loved the idea that they were a local company rather than the conglomerates that just do not have that enthusiasm these guys have. If I have any complaint, it is that they did not come sooner. It took about four months from the time I signed until the project was done, just in the nick of time to take advantage of the summer sun. I have not had so much fun staring at my new net meter watching the dial spin the other way (it is an LCD screen now but who cares, right? It is blinking to the left!!).I will say we have the perfect roof for this and solar might not work for everyone, but if you have a wide, south facing roof and unobstructed view of the sky, just do it. Yes, even in OR/WA! With the green movement gaining traction, having your own generating capacity will become an absolute must. Prices are guaranteed to rise, the government is clamping down on fossil fuels, and an increasing number of EVs soaking up electricity are going to become the norm. Supply is limited and population (thus demand) will only grow. Just consider, daytime outages will be a thing of the past! It PAYS FOR ITSELF, lasts longer than almost any appliance or car you will ever own, it adds to the value of your house and tax incentives make any added short-term cost negligible. I will not say your dumb for not looking into it, but you will feel that way if you do not seriously consider making the move. Just do it! Do not hesitate to sign up with these guys."

"We recently hired Journeyman Exteriors to replace all of our aluminum windows with new Simonton windows on our house and back shed. Steve Waible contacted me almost immediately and scheduled a time to do a quote. He was prompt, well versed in construction, and prepared to handle my concerns. I also received quotes from larger companies, but Steve was more approachable than the others and I believe that he actually listened to what my wife and I wanted as he and his partner Levy delivered with their work. Steve is a true professional, he understood our vision and provided ideas to improve on what we wanted. For example, he suggested adding a window sill with a tiled backsplash to our kitchen sink area, which not only enhanced the look of the new window but the overall look of the kitchen!...with such a small detail. He also suggested window styles to capture more sunlight in dark areas of our house and styles to compliment the view into our backyard. Not just that, as with any project, challenges will show up, Steve & Levy tackled each with ease and kept me informed through the duration of the project. Lastly, I work from home and my high school kids attend school on-line due to COVID restrictions; Steve built the daily work schedule around our meetings and classes to ensure that the work (noise) was not conflicting with what we had going each day. He and Levy also maintained a very clean work area every day. We are very happy w/the new look of our house! We highly recommend Journeyman Exteriors to anyone looking for a dependable, reasonably priced, and local contractor. Save yourself some time and call Steve, we will use Journeyman Exteriors for our next home improvement project! Jerry & Jill Guevara"

Residential, Roof Repairs, Roof Replacement , and 1 more
"One of the things that most impressed me about this company was the constant communication and updates on the timing of our project once we agreed to do the job. These guys run a business the way it should be run. Rather than trying to convince me to go with the more expensive roof, they tried to get me to choose the right solution for my home. I felt like my best interests were at heart. In fact, we did experience one hiccup, with an area of the roof leaking before the job was completed. The crew came out the next morning (we discovered it late at night) and spent several hours making sure that the roof was covered until they could return to finish the job (ice and snow caused delays). When the leak left a tiny bit of damage to the interior ceiling, they offered to fix it before taking final payment. Stuff just goes wrong sometimes--that's life. It's how they handled it that impressed me. I've not had that experience with contractors often. The roof looks great, the crew was extremely polite, and they cleaned up after. So an A+ experience in my book. I have already recommended them to friends."
