The restoration co. we have been using still has the wet drywall covered in plastic without removing any of the insulation or wood that was behind the damage. In one of the locations, water was left under the carpet and vinyl flooring along with the underlayment wood. (Check all that apply): Building materials are wetComment: A pipe broke in my garage ceiling, causing water to drip through the sheetrock onto the garage floor. A plumber repaired the pipe. He said I would need to hire someone to get the area dried out and treated. The water started dripping on Sunday. The plumber wasn't able to get the repair made until this morning (Wednesday). The water wasn't turned completely off most of that time because my neighbor told me he was afraid the PVC pipe at the water shut-off valve might break it he strong-armed it.
