"I hired Sunnyside to restain a deck. I was impressed with their professionalism, their concern for providing a quality result, and great communication. Because of this, I hired them despite receiving less-expensive quotes from other contractors. And I was not disappointed. Sunnyside's concern for quality became apparent when the job was delayed several times due to light rainfall. They explained how even a small amount of moisture would affect the long-term condition of the stain. Once the project began, they worked hard, quietly, and cleaned up very well. Their pride in workmanship shows in the quality they produced. I would definitely hire them again for any painting projects and recommend them highly."

"I changed the front door color after he had already painted it. He repainted it without an additional charge. I kept adding painting projects. Heâ d give me a price and then include it. Moved deck furniture off area and back on. Inside he paint a walk in pantry beautifully and two doors. Of 4 bids, his was the least expensive. Heâ s my painter of choice in the future."

"Ramon and Fidel were great and very responsive. They installed a French drain and when we realized the water problem was worse than I expected they were able to pivot very quickly. All of the guys working were very kind and friendly. They also built a beautiful fence for me that looks great! I will be hiring them again in the future."

"Grady met all our expectations above and beyond! He performed every duty with the utmost professionalism. Always on time, and met our every wish and need. He even took it upon himself to install an extra security rail so our 14 year old nearly blind doggie wouldnâ t fall off the edge of the deck. His craftsmanship is superb and heâ s also just a really nice guy! We highly recommend Grady!"

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
