"Artie was punctual, polite, professional and did exactly what he saud he would do for the quoted price. I found him via home advisor and was very happy with the end result. He did a fantastic job fixing our porch supports, replacing old columns and putting railings on the porch. His work was top quality. I would definitely hire him again."

"I would highly recommend T&A Painting. Great patin job! Efficient at setting up appointments and notifying you. I even called for a small touchup spot after they were paid and I was called back the same day and the next day the painter was there. It is so nice to have work done by someone who takes real pride in their work."

"These dudes were great. They replaced a you-know-what-show of a roof on a big, rambling house and repaired some related structural problems in less than two days. They went over and above to keep within what was quoted on the estimate, and through the whole process they were friendly, easy to get ahold of, and generally great to work with. High quality end result. After a downpour the next day, can confirm the roof is leak-proof. Also, they left the property spotless. Highly recommend."

"Miki and his crew came on site at my home in Scotia New York, and did an outstanding job painting the house helping me get other parts of the projects done that I didnâ t know how or where I was going to get it done. They finished everything that I asked on time in a very professional way. Iâ d highly recommend Golden Hammer for any of your projects especially if youâ re doing painting either indoors or outside. Absolutely great company."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
