"The boys were very friendly and professional, they always respected my boundaries which is something I hold dear as I am a disabled person struggling with ALS. Bob came face to face with us wearing a mask and standing at an appropriate distance. This is what is really needed to be said but if you would like to read more please see the story below. I love a family business, I love to support our local small businesses and I have identified this business as one of those gems because of this. The whole time on the job, his sons wore their masks the entire time they did the job. I imagine it must have been very snotty in there because it was cold outside and they had to shovel snow so it might have been sweaty as well! I appreciate that, it has happened to me. I liked this business as well because I am a self-employed person that knows the struggles of owning your own business and I can attest that he is doing a great job that is sustainable because it is needed but only if he has reviews online like this to draw people to him, which is why I am writing this review. My own business booms when I do good work because of insurance referrals and word-of-mouth, I understand that he may have to use this review to show people what a good man he is. I truly believe that actions speak louder than words, I am aware it is an old saying but feel that it is still apt for this time. This guy does what he says he will do, which is an increasingly scarce skill to find. His sons have great communication with him because I see how the sons do everything Bob says they are going to. It was a quick job that was completed in less than a day after an estimate the day before, they installed eviction traps in over 20 spots along the gables of my house and in any hole that he could see critters getting into but also any hole he could see that critters would come out, a testament to his knowledge of the critters. I know that mice can squeeze into cracks that are as big as their heads which is pretty small if you have ever seen one. The plan now is for us to listen for the critters and report back to him if we hear them, he told us he would come back if we contacted him that we had more sounds because he knows that means his evictions have not worked because the critters are hibernating. The way he talked just helped to display his knowledge of the wildlife and it was sad to hear that he had to kill the critters but I could tell he did not want to but was forced to by Massachusetts law. I am not saying that it is true because I am not him and cannot really know that. My job is to study human behavior without judgment which is what I base this knowledge on. I am a social worker involved in private practice, that is my business and I do my own billing so I appreciate a guy who can keep his own records well. Bob was ready with a pen and a carbon pad that made his writing in triplicate, he kept two and gave me one. This is very clear so I could take a picture of it and bill my landlord because I had to pay on-site. I understand that not everybody can do this. I feel it is a return on an investment idea, the critters can chew through wires and ruin insulation, which much more expensive fixes is if you know anything about what it takes to keep a house. It has been a few months and the boys came back twice to check traps and remove critters caught in them. They were flying squirrels mostly. They chewed holes right into the attic that Birch Hill blocked with screens. We also had bats that exited with the evacuation! I am very pleased with the job Birch Hill did for our family."

"last year I had raccoons in attic. I hired Arrest-A-Pest to extract them and cover hole in soffit so they wouldn t return. $600!! He finally caught raccoons after a week. Ed (A-A-P) did not use standard material to cover hole..he got some material for free. This year..the raccoons easily removed what he put up! Raccoons in attic again.. Contacted Casey s. Casey set up a clever system of traps on Saturday at 3:00pm.... He trapped racoon at 3:30pm!!!! Raccoons are nocturnal so that was amazing! He will be over to deal with my squirrel problem in June. He has a lot of respect for wildlife..Means a lot to me Renate Buzalsky"
