"I had 5 other contractors over to inspect my problem that was a section of brick wall on my 1926 house that pulled away. Joe inspected and had knowledge of the condition and how it would be fixed. He and his crew arrived and set to work. They removed the section of brick piece by piece, saving all the pieces to reinstall. I wanted to replace the original brick on my house. They re-set all the brick,repairing the entire section of the house. New window lentals and new stone window sills were installed. Also addressed cracks and missing mortar around the entire house, repointing what was needed. They also repaired front porch brick and chimney stone. The crew worked like a fine oiled machine and cleaned up each evening. Iâ ve never had a contractor that I was so pleased with on all respects. Highly recommend Joe , - Masonry Hardscapes and his crew."

Steve listened to us, answered our questions and gave us a few options. Steve is excellent in providing detailed, information in a way that is easy to understand. The price was clear and very competitive. The project was completed in an organized, timely manner. Steve even went with us to help select the pavers, stones and veneer. The work quality was great and everything was cleaned up. The project has really transformed the front of our house! We have had many compliments from friends and neighbors. "Took 3 visits but was well worth the time, attention and patience to get the job done right. First day was inspection and quote for repairs/materials. Work started that day to patch the cement crown that was cracked and channeling water down one side of the chimney eroding bricks. A bowed metal plate on the chimney to shed water between the two flue caps was flattened and sealed with cement so it did not show from the ground and so flies would stop entering into the house thru one of the flues. Crumbling mortar was replaced between bricks and bricks were waterproofed. The chimney was measured and the cap to cover the entire chimney was ordered. The 2nd visit got rained out. The 3rd visit was a good weather day and the cap was assembled, installed and cemented in place. It is amazing how strong the animal guard around the 4 sides of the chimney is. The crew at all times was friendly, courteous & very competent being careful to do the entire project as if it was their home."

"It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Gradys Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Gradys Painting and Plastering & Construction by Service Magic."
