"After accepting a bid, from ASAP, to have the entire front & all window ledges of my all brick, 81yr old home tuckpointed & all front facing window perimeters to be caulked, they gave me an acceptable bid & a project start date of 10/5/20. Again, their bid was not the lowest, but because of previous experience with this company and their craftsmen I felt comfortable with giving them the job. The project began as promised. They had indicated, when the bid was accepted, that the project would take 5 days. The project was completed on the 5th day. This was phase 3 of what I hope will be a 4 or 5 phase project to have all exterior walls of my home tuckpointed. The visual difference seen now, because of their meticulous work, greatly improves the looks of my home. "Josh is personable and just starting his business. We engaged him to (1) do a second cleaning where some ivy was attached to the brick (2) tuckpoint a few spots (3) caulk the front windows and (4) apply a silane siloxane sealer to everything. Josh showed up when promised. He was not the lowest bid. His bid was in the middle. The main problems were that he really can't apply caulk and frankly made a big mess on several of our windows -- but the real problem is that he chose a different sealer product than we asked for-we were not informed until just before he started to apply it -- ultimately we approved it because we didn't want to delay the project. Then he didn't read the directions for the product. Our HVAC should have been off the entire time. It was not and the fumes were sucked up into our soffit and attic space and throughout the home. It was so bad in the house for several days it made our eyes water and a few weeks later is still very noticeable. In fact we had ServePro in to clean our ducts and they wanted to know what the smell was. He also did not respect our property laying his plastic on a large area of grass which killed it and killed several plants that were not covered even though I tried to wash them afterwards. He didn't have tape and had to use ours and didn't have gas for the power washer -- which was also ours. He is just starting out and will learn but overall we just were not impressed with the transaction. He is nice and polite and does show up when he promises through."
