"Taras from Athex has permanently increased my standards for home construction, repair, and install work. When I approached Taras, I was in a precarious situation: the siding on my newly purchased house was deteriorating before my eyes â I knew there was potential rot and ant infestations, but had no idea how widespread the issues were. Taras and his team were 100% communicative and thorough throughout the entire process, which made me so much more comfortable with them as they revealed additional work needed to be done (Taras showed me that parts of my homeâ s walls could literally be pulled apart by hand â the hidden water damage was that bad!). Not only did his work estimates come in far below competitors, he completed each portion of work in shockingly fast speed. With each step he provided me additional information and suggestions to better protect my home from future deterioration. I learned so much just by watching him and his team work! Taras and Athex didnâ t just provide good workmanship, they also demonstrated their trustworthiness through their actions: I needed siding repair at the same time as lumber prices in the US hit historic new heights (during Covid lockdowns when supply chain issues and new tariffs had driven prices sharply upwards); Taras worked diligently to find appropriate material alternatives through suppliers in order to keep costs adorable, and kept me appraised of the constantly shifting materials prices during the project, as well as how best to strategize around them without going over budget. Not only was his workmanship and moral character impeccable, but he is cheerful and personable to speak with. I do not know much of the rest of his team personally, but if his goodwill and character are as infectious as our interactions indicated, then I have no doubt the rest of his team are equally upstanding. I was so impressed by the work and craftsmanship of the initial project that I have consulted Taras/Athex for several additional home improvement, including fresh exterior paint and a tricky install of Murphy-style bookshelf-doors. Whenever complications arose during these projects, Taras and his crew were unstoppable and always found elegant solutions. All that said, I highly HIGHLY recommend Athex!"
