"Nike and the Cape Cod Fine Finish crew are meticulous in their prep and delivery of their final product. We had the exterior of our home repaired (shingle and trim replacement), sanded, primed and painted. His team arrived every day on time, diligently worked until end of day and completed the work on schedule. Their work was outstanding, the best I have ever seen, with great attention to detail. The crew was very polite, cleaned up every day, there were no spills and my plants were well protected. Honestly, their work is the best I have seen to date! Definitely worth the money!"

"I hired Jeff to perform a restoration caliber interior paint job on my home when I purchased it. He and his team prepped and painted every surface in my 3,000sqft Colonial and it looks like a new house! The kitchen cabinets look like they came right from the factory. Jeff also coordinated with other tradesmen and orchestrated an excellent outcome. Recognizing I'd found a winner, I expanded the scope and he painted the entire exterior as well, including a material amount of carpentry to replace trim, sills and rotted shingles and paint and install new shutters. Everything came out very well, Jeff was great to work with and communicated clearly and consistently. The price was certainly fair for the work performed. I've already recommended Jeff to friends and will continue to do so."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
