"The guys did exactly what I asked them to do. There was a dilemma with topping off the crowns, so they were not capped. Thats the only thing that made me sad. They cleaned up after themselves, they were personable, punctual and kind enough to leave their fan overnight to help with ventilation of the paint fumes. I will definitely call on them again when another project presents itself."

"I highly recommend Gary?s Home Repairs. I hired Mr. Gary to paint my front and back doors as well as some minor other tasks. Mr. Gary gave me an estimate and there were no surprises later. He was very professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. He understood the assignment and he and his worker completed it perfectly. He arrived on time and completed everything in two days. He was also very patient and offered advice on paint color but left the final choice up to me. He worked with my schedule. He also suggested other needed repairs and maintenance. It seemed like he wanted to make sure that I was happy and satisfied. I would definitely hire him again and plan to do in 2025."

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
