  Comment: My home is 113 years old and I have a brick basement with a very thin concrete floor. I’ve had some sections of the walls collapse and need to have the bricks built back in place and maybe some work done on the floors I don’t mind replacing Two walls with 8 inch blocks, but I prefer the bricks if it’s possible, the bricks that I have in my home are larger than your standard brick that is made today it’s fatter and taller and I believe it’s the same length as a regular brick they could be easily cleaned up because the mortar on them is so old you can rub your finger on the joints and the mortar holding the bricks fall out like grains of sand
