"We were very impressed with the quality of the work performed on the installation of a new HVAC system at our home and by the professional demeanor of the entire team from start to finish. We were looking for a reputable and reasonably priced company to replace our old HVAC system. Ernie reached out in a matter of minutes and scheduled an appointment the next day which happened to be a Sunday. He was prompt, seemed knowledgeable and honest. He immediately gained our trust. He identified a good replacement that met our needs and worked within our budget, The work was performed as promised. They ended up having to do additional work to fit the new unit and did not charge us extra. In my opinion, honesty and work ethic are very important attributes in any profession and. that's what differentiates people. Ernie and his team at Upright Construction were responsive and very competent. We will hire again and highly recommend!!!"

"Our kitchen was in desperate need for an update, but we were putting it off for years. A slow leak under the sink made it a priority as everything needed to be replaced. We interviewed three companies. It came down to two. I wanted to go with the other company, and my husband wanted to go with Construction Masters. What cinched it for me was Mickey and Moshe. They asked me questions I hadn't thought about it. They suggested ways of getting more space. Mickey said he would go shopping with me to choose what was needed. They answered all my questions and never once made me feel like I was bothering them. He also said that he could make our short deadline. Sold. Mickey and Moshe were on it. Work was started shortly thereafter, with Mickey or Moshe coming by or calling most mornings, full of energy and happiness. Even my puppy fell in love with them, who continued to answer any and all questions. Workers showed up on time, were very friendly and respectful and were real craftsmen. They listened to my questions and when I needed to make decisions were very patient with me. Through the whole process I was advised what was going to happen and when - and it did! There were no major surprises and no major costs that were unexpected. We got what we asked for, how we asked for it, when we asked for it and at a price we agreed to. Mickey and Moshe also found simple few things that would make our lives better, asked if we wanted them, and then didn't charge us for the cost of doing them (such as asking if we wanted an outlet outside so that we could close a window we had run an extension cord through, putting door stoppers on to preserve our cabinets, etc.). He saw stuff in a way I just would never see it - and I am so glad he did. I am SO happy that we found Construction Masters. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and will use him again and again for all the other "someday" projects around the house that we have."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
