"Great job on power washing a building that looked like it needed a new paint job. Shalamar Hays worked on this building for many hours with her pressure washer paying attention to details. The building looks like it was repainted and brand new. Great work, very professional great people. I recommend them highly."

"It was a nice experience working with Russ. He was flexible and listened to my plans for the kitchen floor & cabinets. His crew Joe & Andrew used 3 boxes of original laminate planks plus 3 boxes of new ones I found, which saved me money. Joe built a nice shelf where the dishwasher was, giving me more shelf space. I told him I or my significant other will paint the trim. The molding around the front door looked better than I thought. I plan to use them again when my countertops & backsplash need updating. They cleaned up my garage after use. Russ gave me the name of a local roofing company I might talk to. Pros: flexible, local, affordable, answered phone calls & emails. Cons: might have used shoes covers when inside but no big deal."

"We were remodeling our kitchen and looking for a company to do our countertops. River Stone had the best quote out of the four that we received. We did a little research and decided to go with them. We were very happy we did. They were very accommodating to our needs. They had our countertop ready and installed in one week. Excellent value for the money."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
