Gian the technician looked carefully at it and recommended replacing the tube with a rigid pipe and venting it straight through the roof (eliminating one of the elbows). It cost much more than we anticipated in the beginning but it was a better solution. The owner allowed us to negotiate the price a little lower and Gian did not need to open the wall so they discounted more from the total bid. Overall it was a great experience and we are very happy with the technician's work and their customer service."
