"Design consultant Brian Laird was very personable and explained every aspect of the tub-to-shower conversion in an easy-to-understand manner. He answered all our questions thoroughly. Installers Colton S. and Coltrin arrived at the scheduled time and were very professional as they worked. They were very careful of our property and made sure everything cleaned before leaving. The job was finished in about 8 hours. The completed project is beautiful. I would recommend this company."

Flooring, Flooring, tile
"We recently had the pleasure of working with Ruben and his team for our new flooring installation, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, they were the definition of professionalism—patient, meticulous, and incredibly respectful of our home and family. They took great care when moving furniture, ensuring that nothing was damaged, and paid close attention to every detail of the installation process. What really stood out was their commitment to quality—Ruben even came back after the weekend to double-check everything was perfect. Beyond their skill and attention to detail, they were open, honest, and so easy to communicate with. You could tell they truly take pride in their work. On top of that, they were just a great team to have around—friendly, trustworthy, and fun to work with. If you’re looking for flooring professionals who genuinely care about their craft and their clients, Ruben and his team are the ones to call!"

"Could not be happier with the service. Joey was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our sink was set up very oddly in an old house and it was not a problem for him to replace our garbage disposal. I highly recommend Thunder Mountain Contractors."

Closet Build, Interior Trim, Door Install , and 1 more
"If every builder I worked with were like Henry Jones, my life would be 10x easier. He showed up when he said he would. Communication was excellent. I always knew what to expect. He gave me a bid and kept to it. He didn't expect money until the job was complete. And on top of it all, he did an excellent job installing doors, trim and baseboards. I would happily hire him again and recommend him to anyone needing doors and/or trim."

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
