  Comment: I’m renting a house that I’ve noticed weird stains & formation on the walls and ceiling. There’s a lot of grayish black fuzz or dust that comes out of the popcorn ceiling upstairs & downstairs the popcorn ceiling turns gray or is missing. We’ve noticed it looks like the popcorn ceiling swells at times throughout different parts of the house & the corners where the ceiling meets the walls have become raised or bubbly. Black like lint is constantly appearing on the popcorn ceiling & falling also the return air vents continue to collect the black lint/fuzz and is very hard to clean off the metal. The vents are extremely dunked up with a whitish yellow sometimes orangish brown crust. I’ve vacuumed them and tried wiping them out several times but it always comes back. There are also places on the walls where it looks like someone dotted a squiggle line or patch with a clack marker. The window seals now have the same thing going on. I have had skin/hair/scalp issues since moved in & can’t seem to figure out the issue with majority of our wood furniture. I know the landlord has reminded come out every couple months to check the outside devises they’ve installed in the ground around the house but we’ve never spoke to them. There was a massive downpour about a month before we moved in & there’s a large creek within 100-200ft from the house that overflowed & flooded the street. I found out from a neighbor that since this driveway sits the lowest in the street there was about a foot and a half of water that sat in the basement/garage for a handful of days however when I asked my landlord if the house flooded from the downpour she said it had not at all flooded or effected the house. At that time we were talking about how the garage floods when it rains hard and that the neighbor uphill had a sewage issue that overflowed as well..downhill into the garage. She wasn’t concerned, blew it off & nothings been done about it since. Also the main drain overflowed & I paid to fix.
