"For anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their home: I moved into my house about two years ago and would get floods in my basement during every storm. I tried to fix it myself environmentally but failed in my attempts. I then decided to finally fix the problem and get my basement waterproofed. Being relatively new to Delaware, I put in a request to get free estimates. I had a few companies come out to look at it and narrowed my choices down. I was down to Basement Waterproofing Specialists (BWS) and Basement Gurus. The difference was the representative from Basement Gurus had a more natural approach and took the time to ask numerous questions, as the other representatives asked little to no questions. The Basement Gurus representative suggested to fix internally AND externally, plus they even added a lateral system in my basement. No other company felt to even thought of a lateral systems or external drainage, or to even ask about it. I could not speak more highly of the representative and his team at Basement Gurus, they took the time to explain every step and the process before and during the installation to keep me involved with what was going on. The crew was extremely polite and respectful of my house, they were very efficient and they *did not play games* for lack of a better word. lol The very next day we had heavy rains, which I was excited to test out my waterproofing system! During and after it rained there was not even a single drop of water in my basement or laundry room. The representative even had his team remove and replace all of the studs that had become moldy and also put in new mold-resistant drywall. Basement Gurus treated us as if we were family and for anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their house, call Basement Gurus, they truly stand themselves apart from the competition!"

"Excellent job! Replaced my whole roof and installed new gutters, the ones I won't have to get up on a ladder to Clean!! All in ONE DAY!! The crew was polite, friendly, Very hard working! They had a woman working with them she was wonderful, I was impressed! They worked from 7-6pm! They cleaned up after did a Beautiful job. "Mike Damario and his team of roofers did an excellent job. They were "on time," and worked continuously despite hot sunny conditions. Removal of the old tile roof was difficult and messy. The house, groundwork and shrubbery were thoroughly protected. No damage was incurred anywhere during the entire job, and cleanup was continuous and thorough. Mr. Damario was attentive, but not present during the entire job. His presence was not necessary as his crew were all professionals and self-starters. If Mike was needed, he was always available by phone, and would make time to inspect the job if necessary. Although we had not requested the installation of snow guards, and they were not included in his quote, Mike judged that the slope of the roof was such that their presence was necessary, particularly with a slick metal roof. He installed them throughout at no charge. In the end, there were no extras. We paid the price as quoted. If you are looking for a "cheap" job, do not look to Preferred Home Improvements as a solution. If you want nothing but a "top drawer" roof replacement; metal or otherwise, at a fair price with professional installers who work quickly and safely, then I can highly recommend Mike Damario and his team of roofing experts. By a "fair price," I mean neither high, nor low. Mike's price was competitive, and I'm very pleased that we decided to go with Preferred for our home re-roofing solution."

"After having a contractor walk out on me without finishing the job I dealt with this hideous stair case. That was up until I met Phillip! I found him on Angi & within just a few days he was able to come and evaluate the work that I needed. Not only on the stair case but other unfinished project in just 2 days he completely flipped my home. Mounted my TV, installed new baseboard and trim, finished my flooring (also redoing the questionable DIY areas I did myself) and gave me this beautiful stairs case. Not only did he pick up the supplies for me but also stained and painted it all. He is meticulous in his work and takes pride in each project he does.
