"Great communication from the start. Offered many options for the quartz countertop we were looking for. Very competitive prices. We picked out a quartz countertop, sink and they installed a new faucet we purchased. They were even able to get the quartz in with out any seems. Very satisfied with the service and installation of our new kitchen countertop"

"This is our second time working with Empire Home Remodeling. We purchased windows and a sliding door back in 2021. Now we are on the market for a front door. Alec came out (same guy after 2 years) on his day off (birthday) to work with us. The products shown were great (variety and quality) and the price is fair compared to the competion. Highly recommend this company."

pre-made cabinets, custom cabinets, Countertops , and 1 more
"Jose and Pablo at Five Star and their team did a great job for a very reasonable price. We were tearing down existing cabinetry, putting up brand new cabinets and building an island from scratch. They were generous with their time and expertise in the design phase helping us really understand the options and choosing what fit best. Installation was top notch, efficient and quick. Where there were small hiccups, they were great about getting them corrected and happy to do so. Obviously with a large project there are a number of small things nobody anticipates but that need to be done. Jose and Pablo were professionall partners and made it easy to get past those speed bumps together. If we have another project to do, I would hire these guys for sure. - Elliot Reis (Glenview)"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
