"Trinh Brothers remodeled my entire basement, kitchen bathroom, installed flooring in every room of my home, built a roof for my patio, installed new doors, painted every room, etc. etc. They were amazing. So talented and the nicest people I've ever done business with. They worked almost 10 hour days for two months and went above and beyond for me. Highly recommend them."

"One of the things that sets Marshall apart is his excellent customer service. When he came to look at the job he was able to test a small section of the floor so I could get a good idea of the stain that I wanted. He really goes the extra mile to satisfy the customer."

"I couldn't be happier with the service I received from David and his team. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and professional. David responded promptly to my inquiry, gave me a same day appointment, and arrived exactly on time. The job itself was impeccable, and they were incredibly clean and neat, leaving no mess behind. Their professionalism truly shone through. To top it all off, the service was very reasonably charged. I highly recommend them for any countertop drilling needs – a five-star experience all around!"

"Tyler Hampson was easy to work with and very helpful with suggestions for my bathroom project. His work was precise and he was very careful about cleaning up each day and making sure there was no mess left behind. I also feel that his price for the job was fair, considering the other quotes I received. He even agreed that I should keep a few items that I already had, rather than go out and buy all new. I will say that there was one instance where I felt that he was not communicating if he had a change in schedule, but when I told him how I felt, he was very responsive and the problem never arose again. I love my new bathroom and I would highly recommend this company! I will be hiring him again for other projects."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
