"I had them do a complete remodel due to water damage. They were on time and very efficient. every worker that came to work was very well mannered they had me look at the job every day when they were done to see if I had any questions or concerns. Mr. Ryan went above and beyond my expectation's to make sure my husband and I were satisfied with the work that they did each day. I am looking forward to them doing other work for us in the future. Thanks again, FUQUA'S REMODEL AUTHORITY"

"OâHanlon Kitchen Review Background: our townhouse had the original builder-grade kitchen from 1993. The layout was not efficient, the cabinets were cheap and poorly arranged, and the island blocked the traffic flow. The Search: we started looking for design help and a contractor to do the work about a year in advance. We had some ideas but wanted the assistance of a pro. We talked to about 5 contractors, got some good ideas from a couple, and narrowed it down to 2 choices. OâHanlon won out because: ⢠Tracy, our designer, stayed in touch with us for about 9 months as we talked to other contractors. She had done a good design early on that reflected her ideas and our ideas. She would reach out periodically, ask if we had any new ideas, and update the design. I canât stress enough how she would listen â there was no one size fits all approach with her and she was quite creative. For example, we wanted a bookcase and she was quite helpful in suggesting the location and design. It turned out to be a major design feature. Plus, she always had a positive response to new ideas. ⢠Michelle, our project manager, was responsive and available. When we first met with her, she answered our questions (a LOT of questions!) fully with no mumbo-jumbo. One of our concerns was how a problem would be handled if it couldnât be solved to our satisfaction with the installer. I felt that she and Brandon OâHanlon, the owner, would be readily available if something came up. ⢠Rob, our installer, was just great! He is very skilled and made a number of on-site decisions that always supported a quality installation. He doesnât do short cuts, he does it right. Just one example of his great work: the floor we picked was LVT and we wanted a very random pattern. We mentioned this to Rob and the installation he did was superior. He listened to our input on things like the light fixture, switches, etc. and followed through. He is the kind of person we welcomed into our home. He was also very accommodating to our dog and cat as they âsupervisedâ his work. ⢠We got the feeling from everyone we talked to at OâHanlon that our job was important, not just another kitchen job. It sure was important to us. ⢠OâHanlonâs cost was right in the ballpark. They were not the cheapest, certainly not the most expensive. They worked with us, even lowering the price so we could get our own painters. There were no surprises, the final bill was what the estimate was. ⢠The work was completed exactly on schedule. Michelle gave us the timeline in the beginning and they followed it. You hear horror stories about kitchen jobs that drag on and on, but thatâs not the case with OâHanlon. OâHanlon installed our new kitchen on time and on budget. And they did a great job! Lessons Learned: What would we do differently if we had it to do over? Weâd want more dust control while the work was being done. There were plastic curtains up during the demolition, bu"

"SSK Remodeling completed remodeling my bathrooms recently. They demolished everything, then put in new tiles for shower wall and floor, changed the tub, replaced all faucets, vanities, lights and painted the rooms. "I sought out 2 merchants prior to inquiring on home advisor and Angi's list with no response. Getting on Angi's list Mr. Briscoe was the only one that called me. He came out within a day or so to survey the job and provided a reasonable and affordable quote. The start date was within a reasonable time. His workers were accommodating to my tenant's and my schedule and with showing/explaining to me the process of what they were doing. Vincent was a jewel in his work ethic. As they worked I was and am pleased with the work that was done. I informed Mr. Briscoe on my next project I will be reaching out for to continue my experience of "a job well done" Thanks again Mr. Briscoe"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
