"When I called HL Design, I spoke with Catherine. We set an appointment for the next day. Dave, the owner, came out and I showed him exactly what I wanted. He recommended Nicolock Pavers for the patio I wanted. Before he left, I had a detailed proposal that was not only fair, but included everything that would be done. I hired him on the spot. NO BS! Straightforward and honest. Dave and his awesome crew came out 8 days later and completed our patio in one day. Let me tell you, Dave's crew took an ugly space under our deck in the back of our townhouse, that wouldn't grow grass, and transformed it into a thing of beauty. Over the past year and a half, we have had quite a few major projects done in our house. This one, by far, was the most pleasurable one. "I contracted with Emerald Landscaping to remove and replace a large retaining wall (170+ feet) on my property. They removed the old railroad tie wall, plus a number of good size trees, which required a great deal of skill and care since the wall was very close to my neighbor's house. The old wall was replaced with a Nicolock block wall, beautifully installed. All grading and landscaping was accomplished very professionally. I am extremely pleased with the excellent work they did under very difficult circumstances. Would highly recommend this company."
