"When we decided we wanted to redo our downstairs, to include the removal of two walls, we knew we didnt want to rush a decision. We brought 7 different companies to give us bids and took almost a month make the decision. They werent the least expensive bid, NES was the most communicative, most prepared, and most professional of all the companies we let give us bids. They explicitly said what they planned to do and what the cost would be. There was no If this, then that. Everything was precisely planned. They communicated daily to let us know exactly who would come the next day, at what time, and what work they would do. We never wondered, Is anyone coming today? Natalie was great going over designs. Sean was great going over production. Their team was professional, considerate of our living space, and experts at what they did. They cleaned/dusted each day. I need more than 999 characters to tell you how amazing they are. We'll never have to look for another contractor again."

"We had a fantastic experience with Alik and Energize Builders! A friend recommended them to us, and from the start, Alik’s no pressure sales approach made us feel comfortable. We paid 25% upfront for our 3-bathroom renovation, and as promised, the work started right on time. The foreman, Luis, did an excellent job, completing everything in just two months with great attention to detail. Alik was honest and easy to work with, and we’re so happy with the results. We’ll definitely call them again for future projects. Thank you, Alik!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Mission Hills Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.7 out of 5 based on 559 reviews of 559 pros.
