"We were in need of some crown molding for our house. We were delighted to see the great reviews for Kennedy Kraft and decided to contact Seamus for a free consultation. We received a great quote, however Seamus was high in demand, so we had to wait several weeks before Seamus could start the work. Yet the wait was worth it, as Seamus did a superior quality install of the crown molding in our house. It turned out AWESOME! Seamus is as friendly and nice as the day is long. Which are wonderful traits for someone working inside your home for big and long projects. Yet you could not ask for better customer service than Seamus provided to us. We plan to use him for some of our future woodwork projects."

"Andrew is very professional and does clean work, which is important to me. He responds quickly and came to our home in a timely manner because we could not use our sprinkler system during August in the desert. I can no longer do these repairs myself and am so grateful for his help. He explained everything to me beforehand and when he was finished with his work. I will definitely call on Andrew with any plumbing needs."

Painting
"We hired Denis of Mr. Doctor Painting to paint the entire interior of our condo. We had the best experience with Denis and his son who assisted him. They were very professional, talented and extremely neat. The took 3 days and they arrived on time each day and had it completed as promised. I have had many vendors in my life and I would rate Denis and Mr. Doctor Painting among the very best . The quality is wonderful and both Denis and his son are great guys. Highly Recommend this company for any of your painting needs. Fred"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
