"5 Star did a bathroom extension for my house and it turned out amazing! They extended my half bath to a full bathroom. So they had to extend the wall, move the toilet and sink, and had to create a new drain for the shower. They worked clean and were totally professional. Not only that, they were personable as well! Their communication was excellent as well. They let me know what they were doing beforehand and kept me updated on time frames. They worked well with me when I had wanted to change a couple of things and advised of different options. My bathroom looks amazing! Many thanks to Glade, John, and Kent!!!"

"Wow! I can't say enough about the process from start to finish!within a couple of hours of requests on Angie I had 3 contacts 1 of which was Anthony who agreed to come out within 2 hours for an estimate even though I told him it was a small job (small kitchen floor replacement after some minor water damage)I might add we had been ghosted by the original contractor shortly after he removed old flooring & abatement process!Anthony arrived,we agreed on a price & he said his crew would be out the next day am.(I wasn't holding my breath)Sure enough Pino & Gabriel arrived shortly after 8am fully prepared to get to work,& boy did they work! They went above & beyond as unexspectadly some sub floor had to be replaced but they were undeterred & were able to replaced what was needed & they completed the floor repair, installed the flooring & trim as they stayed till 7pm! The hard work professionalism & quality is unmatched! Anthony stopped in about 6pm to follow up & make sure all was good."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
