"Magic Designs was fantastic. They took our ideas and the needs of our family and made them a reality. The craftsmanship is beautiful. The team was accountable, courteous, and professional. We could not be happier with our new basement. Not only has it added value to our home, the space created for our family is priceless. They were family friendly and included our 9 year old son's ideas and were patient when he wanted to "supervise". We are very satisfied customers. If we ever had remodeling or other project needs, Magic Designs would be our first choice."

"Extremely knowledgeable; professional and efficient. The finished job was impeccable. They talk to you to insure you understand all aspects of the project and they go the extra mile that is sometimes missing when dealing with larger corporate companies. They apparently know their reputation is dependant upon the proud t and they deliver. I will be using Marino again. Rebecca Linkes"

"We needed heavy duty carpet cleaning in the basement due to sewer backup. Tom came to assess the job and give us an estimate. He is such a likable yet professional young man we decided to expand the job to include living room carpet cleaning, His brother Tay came out to do the job right on time. Another nice young man! Very thorough. Did a fine job. Cleaner than Clean brothers are now my go to guys!"

"We had hardwood flooring that had some termite damage so some boards needed replaced. Also, nail holes needed filled, all flooring needed sanded, stained, and polyurethaned. We also had a room that had ceramic tile cement on the hardwood floor. Jeff provided a fair quote, and Ben and the guys got to work on the project. They were very professional and nice to deal with. They worked on the project for 3 days. The result is incredible. What a transformation! I would recommend them to anyone seeking a contractor that is great to work with and does excellent work."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
