Their technician was here for ~4 hours, had little experience with boilers, and walked away quoting us $800 (in addition to the $150 it costs for the diagnostic) to replace a part he was "fairly certain" was the problem. Since that visit did not fill us with confidence, we looked for other companies and found Jeff and Resolute Plumbing and Heating here on Homeadvisor. Thank goodness we did!! From the first contact with him on the phone he was open about his thoughts on what might/might not be causing the problem. Clear about pricing, and very accommodating in scheduling. On the day of the appointment he was here for about 2 hours, much of that time he spent educating me about our system, and left having solved the problem with a simple repair he did on-site, not replacing the entire part. He was friendly, straightforward and a thoroughly enjoyable person to have around that entire time. His time and expertise to SOLVE the issue cost us less than what we paid the other company just to do a somewhat uncertain diagnostic. Thank you Jeff! "The electrician that came to evaluate and determine what was needed for the project was exceptional. Connor provide me with an estimate for an upgrade and installation from my old fluorescent fixtures to more efficient LED lighting. He also checked on the safety of my electrical system. He found an outlet near my washing machine that should have been a GFCI outlet, and a few breakers in my panel that should have been bridged together. Outside of his knowledge and, as I discovered, his skills, what I liked about Scott was that he didnâ t try to up sell me any additional items, he asked what else I might need, like any plumbing service he could provide. Like many other homeowners, I am always leery about contractors trying to up sell projects. The end result of Connor and his crew, Scott and Ryan, was a very happy customer.
