He recently informed me that his thermostat has been dead for a while now and that it wasn't much of an issue until the recent near freezing nights as of late. I opened his current thermostat to find burn marks and melted pieces near the red RC wire connection. Also the circuit braker for the AC unit was not functioning. I replaced the circuit breaker and attempted to install a replacement thermostat that seemed to be functional but when the thermostat clicks and reads heating or cooling neither the AC unit or furnace kick on. I need an HVAC pro to check the system for additional issues, advise the customer on replacement thermostat purchasing (he would like to upgrade to a smart thermostat now) and install the new smart thermostat. There is a blue wire that I believe to be the C common 24v wire but i am not positive that it is. Thank you
