"Jess was a dream to work with. I had him build me a custom home bar and I was blown away with how perfectly he made my vision a reality. He is very attentive to detail. When the drawers came in they were more shallow than I wanted and he was the one to point that out and fix it rather than just install what came in. The wood wine rack is gorgeous and the butcher block he chose is stunning. His work was quick and the price was fair. I didn't feel like he was trying to oversell me on anything. Hiring Jess was a great experience!"

"Best contractor I have ever dealt with on a personal home project. Fast, courteous, honest, polite and informative. Kelly and his crew did exactly what they said they were going to do for the price they quoted me. I have a 2700 square foot basement that they completely framed for me. I offered them to my house, but they came and went every time through a basement window. They were always on time and always responded to my calls and texts. I will definitely rehire Kelly and his crew again if needed."

"Amazing!! I needed help building out my basement before the holidays, and they did everything just in time for our family to stay with us. Working with them was easy, and they did a great job paying attention to details. I will 100% be working with them again for future projects."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
