"My 101 year old Moms house in Houston was flooded by Harvey and the fire department has to rescue her. I live in Seattle. We gutted the house removing all carpets, cabinets, and furniture. I had to find someone to repair the rather large house and I could not go down to Houston. I thought of HomeAdvisor. I put in her zip code and three possibilities came up. Tom at Houston Carpets and Remodel in Kingwood was best prepared to do the large job. We are two weeks from completion but I believe in three weeks my 101 year old Mom will be back in her house. Mathew is personable, considerate, a truly knowledgeable professional in all areas. His crew very nice. Recommendations based on his experience are sound and innovative with appropriate cost savings. Repaired rotten joist (house about to collapse) replaced entire back wall of house and rotten flooring from water leak, built a new deck with roof and electrical. "These guys are absolutely incredible. Weâ re in Austin and they drove out here to install the counters for the kitchen and bathrooms. The marble slab we ordered arrived with a corner broken, thatâ s how it is with marble, super fragile no matter how careful you are. My wife and I have been renovating homes for a long time but we have never been so impressed with a company like these guys. Javier asked if he could try to fix it, but offered to work with us on replacement if it wasnâ t to our satisfaction. I was very skeptical on how well the repair would turn out, but since they were here and it was a long drive back to Houston, I agreed to letting him try. I was blown away, you couldnâ t even tell, literally invisible. Even more importantly, happy wife! So impressed. Looks better than when I had them installed. Also polished the Granite kitchen counters. Very hardworking and is always smiling. "The job involved removing wood flooring in my kitchen and ceramic tile in the master bath. This was a difficult job as this is an older home and all of the cabinets were installed on top of the flooring so they had to cut around the edges of all the cabinets, remove the old flooring then start the install. They would arrive first thing in the morning and work until 6:30 in the evening only breaking for a short lunch. They did a beautiful job and I love, love, love my new floors! Also, they were very polite and did a great job of cleaning up after the job was done! Definitely recommend!"
