The original job posting was to fix a few shingles, but after Bill looked at our roof my wife and I knew it was time to replace it after putting it off for a couple years. However, Bill did provide us with quotes for both the whole roof or if we did the partial repair to the missing shingles. He did not pressure us either way, and when issues came up during the roof replacement that would cost more than the initial quote, they were only issues that had to be addressed to get the best life out of our new roof as possible. "Materials were ordered swiftly, and the team organized their subcontractors to complete the sequential work in as little time as possible. Most importantly, Sam, Anthony and project manager Adryan were on site every day coordinating the work and reachable within a moment's notice. In a very short three and a half weeks in August, the Universal team completed the complex plan.  New Pennsylvania fieldstone masonry work at the base of the home was installed first, including a new retaining wall.  A brand new timber tech rear deck was built.  Twelve new windows were installed.  All new James Hardie siding was installed and a substantial nine by twelve foot front portico completely transformed the front of the home.  Large scale reno is inexorably daunting, but the Universal team was communicative throughout the process. Any minor tweaks required or requested were met with prompt action to ensure the project was completed to expectations. We recommend URS for any exterior renovations. TY."

"Mr. Shaw repaired the flat portion of our roof, which had been leaking during certain bad storms. He and his team were very polite and business oriented. There was a slight delay in scheduling the project, but it all went according to plan when his schedule opened up. He was prompt on the day we scheduled and brought over the material that he said he was going to install. He and his team installed it in less than a day and the cleanup was fantastic. Later that same day, our area received nearly 7 inches of rain. We cannot imagine what might have happened if we didn't have our roof done earlier that day. Not a single drip after a 2 hour downpour! I will be calling him back to continue more work on the A-frame, as well as getting him more business in my neighborhood.
