What type of project do you need done?: Waterproof foundation or surface
Comment: We have spoken with a few companies regarding some issues with a finished basement in Rochester Hills. We have been experiencing some water coming through the backroom through the tiling that was previously laid.
After both companies reviewed it is apparent that the drainage system outside of the house has failed as the moisture meters read near 100 percent in the room. Both recommended some indoor drainage systems, but when looking at the price and the need for a contractor outside of what their work quoted the prices ran too high (We have some cabinets that would need moved for both installations - one of the installs would also require 2 feet of the drywall removed and placed back).
One of the two companies quoted that the walls were also an issue due to one of the two small areas showing some elevated moisture levels (after reviewing with company 2 we believe it is due to a down spout that is just above the area and may be experiencing issues).
We will need some work done to weatherproof the foundations floor and are looking to verify the walls are not an issue.
We are looking for work that would come with a lifetime guarantee that can be transferred if or when the house is sold and simply looking for a competitive quote and financing.
