"The team arrived promptly and they were prepared for their work. Many contractors show up for an hour and then disappear for the day. This team worked a full eight hour day! They were very careful and considerate. They cleaned the work area at the end of each work day so I did not have to live with a mess overnight. Their craftsmanship was excellent. They take pride in a job well done. I highly recommend this company."

"Tony and his team were very professional and timely. They were at the house when they said they would be and always kept me informed of their progress. I had 2.5 bathrooms remodeled and/or updated as well as installed two ceiling fans. Their work was exceptional. When I originally explained to Tony what I wanted to have done, he listened to me and did not try to talk me into something more than I wanted. He took my budget and wants/concerns into account and genuinely worked with me. I highly recommend Tony and this company to anyone having work done. I for sure will use them again in the future."

"The owner came out very late at night on a holiday for our emergency leak and stayed very late to fix it. Would highly recommend"

"I recently hired Solid Foundation Construction LLC to replace my carpet with vinyl flooring, and the results are absolutely perfect. I’m a very detail-oriented, high-maintenance client who is rarely fully satisfied — yet this project exceeded all my expectations. The quality of the work is outstanding. The crew worked incredibly hard from morning until evening, moved quickly without sacrificing precision, and delivered flawless results. My floors look stunning, and I truly couldn’t be happier. The owner is also a pleasure to work with — professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure everything is done right. I would recommend Solid Foundation Construction to absolutely anyone looking to improve their home. Do not hesitate to hire them. I already can’t wait to work with them again on my next project!"

"Could not be happier with Jim's work. Remodeled master bath, kitchen, replaced front door, plus several other smaller tasks. Easy to work with. Has a talented eye for style and design. Kept me informed throughout the process. Has experience with the design board in my town (Reston). Never up-charged. I've recommended him to several neighbors already."

"Alltecs has completed several projects for our local government municipality, including a public park restroom renovation, an office conversion, and various electrical and plumbing remodels. The team was efficient, professional, and communicative throughout each project. They quickly became a go-to contractor for work completed on time and with excellent quality. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a reliable and skilled contractor with experience working on government projects."

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
