"Started on addition directly after the favorable bid on the new project. having built a shed for us they expanded the dining area into the garage closing in the garage. Inspectors never had a problem, when you walk into the house the addition looks like it was always there. The crew were very professional and came up with solutions when problems arose. The next time I need work on the house done I'm calling Kirk"

"4J plumbing was quick to respond to an anxious lady with water coming out of my ceiling. It was Friday night, after hours and they arrived swiftly as possible to my remote location. They listened to me which is huge. They found what was wrong, unclogged the pipe, ran water through and watched that it was not leaking any more. He took time to educate me, who knew the ac unit dropped through the pipes! He gave me recommendations and instructions to prevent mold. He was a very respectful young man and they were done in an hour. They even took the trash from the Sheetrock and insulation though I put a trash can beside them. The price was reasonable for after hours. Don’t hesitate to call them for your needs!"

"I appreciated the quick professional response that I got. They fixed all the problems the previous contractors left behind, and built my beautiful pagoda beyond my expectations. I have since called all the trades for further repairs the previous contractors broke."

Within 10 minutes of his arrival, Steven identified the leak and within an hour, he provided us with an estimate and fixed the problem. I can't say enough great things about the service he provided along with the company's expediency. I am so grateful! Steven is awesome and a great technician."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
