"Tonin was able to quickly provide an estimate for repairs to my cinder block and slab back porch, which included: 1. repair of cinder block wall which the previous owner said was damaged when an excavator backed into the porch 2. break-up/removal of old concrete stairs and replacement with new stairs made of cinder block and blue stone, and 3. patching holes on the surface of the concrete slab. He gave me a reasonable estimate for the work. He did not try to up-sell me, like another contractor attempted to do. He listened to what I wanted done, he explained what he would need to do, which was exactly what I was looking for. He showed up on the day and time he promised. (I have dealt with other contractors and it’s always a bad sign when they show up late on the first day) Tonin did a fantastic job and his repairs were beautiful. He is a very skilled mason and completed the job on time and for the price quoted. I would definitely hire him again for any future masonry work."

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.
