"Spencer and Modo Renovations were great to work with. He was incredibly responsive throughout the project (usually answering within an hour or two), and met the timeline he estimated for the work. He was also very mindful of our budget, frequently giving us options for materials along with the pros/cons of each. Lastly, the entertainment built-in he built for us truly looks like it is out of a magazine, and is the highlight of our apartment. We would absolutely work with Spencer again!"

"I've been living in New York City for over 20 years and have worked with other contractors before, and have never found the right fit until now. Hussein is a great collaborator and understood exactly what we needed and how to get it done right. He was always easy to reach via text or phone. The materials he used were of top quality. His team worked non-stop for two weeks in my loft while Hussein checked in daily. I was working from home a lot during this work and could see the dedication to details and how hard they worked. They were meticulous, always on time, polite, quiet, (and non-smokers)! Once the job was done the bill matched the quote. Everything looks so beautiful now, even better than I had imagined! The total job included building a room, which included framing, sheetrock, plumbing, electric, painting entire loft and demolition."

"At first I was worried about who to go to and how to navigate and what the steps were in this process. It was so overwhelming! After speaking with multiple renovation companies, I am so grateful that I chose Renovo to help with my kitchen remodel. My project manager was there every step of the way. When there was an issue/delay (which only happened one time throughout the whole process!) I was fully informed and felt that my team was on my side to get the job done. Any issue big or small I was informed of and was resolved quickly and I felt that my demands and timeline were taken seriously. This was extremely important to me and my family because we needed to sell the house asap. This company gets the job done and is there as an advocate for US rather than for the contracting company. I couldnâ t recommend them enough. Was a great experience."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
New york Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 238 reviews of 238 pros.
