"I can't say enough great things about Stotler Construction! I hired them to take us through a major remodel of our 40 yr. old family home in Encinitas. Rebuilt from the ground up, from start to finish, Bart and his crew were on time, showed professionalism, attention to detail, thoroughness and efficiency, creativity and superb craftsmanship! We are still receiving compliments! Any job small or big, simple or complex, these guys are your ticket to a successful beautiful outcome! If you want knowledgeable experts in their field, men of integrity, and just plain fun workers who love what they do, Stotler Construction is the company to go with! Highly recommend!"

"We definitely recommend Teknik with Kevin at the helm. This is our second remodel with Kevin. This time the master bath. He has great ideas and suggestions. The shower is exceptional. LIKE A SPA. A really small area and it looks so much bigger now. I didn't think that was possible. Once Again, done on TIME! Great job just sorry we're out of bathrooms. He's on speed dial in case we have another project."

"Abe and his guys were simply excellent. I hired him to remodel my dining room into a game room, with new lights, fans, a video projection system including a motorized screen, and all the in-wall wiring required. Abe did it all in four days and solved numerous unexpected problems along the way, such as when the ceiling fans I had picked out didn't work with the ceiling joists. In five minutes Abe found substitute fans that are beautiful and worked out better than the originals would have. Abe also supplied a very capable guy to restore, texture and paint the drywall and the results are gorgeous. Hire Abe and you won't be sorry."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
